At a glance

Find a swimming pool near you

We teach swimming at Singapore's public pools, run by ActiveSG and open to all, so there's usually a class close to home. From a child's first time in the water to an adult finally learning to swim, there's a level for everyone.

Below you'll find every complex grouped by region, with its weekly closure day and the classes we run there, so it's easy to find the nearest pool and plan your visit.

Pools for every level

A teaching pool, a wading pool and a 50m lap pool at most complexes. Some also have water slides and leisure pools.

Safe for all ages

Lifeguards are on duty every session, and the shallow teaching pools give toddlers and nervous first-timers a gentle start.

Make a day of it

A few dollars buys the whole family a day out, from morning to night, with changing rooms and showers.

Planning your pool visit

How much does it cost to enter a public swimming pool?
Entry is inexpensive, usually around S$1.50 for an adult and less for children and seniors, with under-3s free. Foreigners pay a small surcharge. You can check the current rate for each complex on the ActiveSG website.
Do I need to book in advance, or can I just walk in?
You can walk in. Buy a single-entry pass at the counter or tap in with the MyActiveSG+ app, with no need to book ahead for recreational swimming.
What are the opening hours?
Most complexes open daily from about 8am to 9.30pm, with early-morning lap swimming on alternate days. Every pool closes one day a week for maintenance, and the closure day for each complex is listed in the directory above.
Is there a swimming class at every pool?
We run lessons at public pools across the island. Tell us the swimmer's age, level and preferred pool, and we will match a class at one near you.
