Stage 1, 2, 3 & 4:
T-shirt & shorts

T-shirt & Shorts

At this stage, students are only required to wear T-shirt and shorts.

You can wear your usual home t-shirt and shorts.

We assume kids in Singapore to usually be wearing t-shirt and shorts on their normal activity. If they were to be pushed into the pool or canal, they will still be able to swim to safety with t-shirt and shorts, and without goggles on!

Stage 5 & 6:
T-shirt & long pants

T-shirt and long pants

As your child evolves into a strong swimmer, swimming to safety is definitely not an issue. Imagine being on a vacation and due to choppy waters, many tourists are being thrown off the boat. Your child will still be able to stay alive on his own while help arrives.

Long clothing are deliberately used to weigh down the students and make swimming harder. In such conditions, students will learn to conserve their energy and continue swimming to meet the goal.

Finally, students will learn how to make a buoyancy aid using their pants.
