What is the Singapore Aquatics SwimFaster Award?
For many years, Singapore parents knew this event as the Singapore Swimming Proficiency Awards (SSPA). In 2026, it has been rebranded as the SwimFaster Awards, but the mission remains the same: to turn capable swimmers into confident racers.
Bridging the Gap: From SwimSafer to Competitive Racing
Most children in Singapore complete their SwimSafer stages and stop. They have the safety skills, but they rarely get to experience the thrill of the sport.
SwimFaster is designed to fill that gap. It is the perfect “pre-competitive” milestone for students who want to test their speed but are not yet ready for the intense pressure of a full competitive squad.

- A Professional Venue: The event is held at the Singapore Sports School in Woodlands. Your child gets to swim in a world-class competition pool, using the same electronic timing pads as the national athletes.
- Race Against Yourself: Unlike standard meets where the goal is to beat others, SwimFaster is about hitting a personal benchmark. Swimmers race to earn Bronze, Silver, and Gold badges based on their own timing.

Registration and Fees
Swimmer Registration Fee
Every participant must pay the 2026 Athlete Registration Fee. This is a mandatory fee required by Singapore Aquatics for all competitive swimmers in Singapore.
- Cost: $43.60 (Includes GST)
- Validity: This covers the swimmer for the entire year, until 31 December 2026.

Late Fee Warning Please submit your entries on time. Any entries received after 16 February 2026 will be charged a late surcharge of $32.70 per entry.
Who Can Join?
- Open to All: Swimmers who want to test their timing against a national benchmark.
- Unlimited Entries: There is no limit to the number of events you can join.
- No Qualifying Time: You do not need a specific “timing” to enter.
