What will we learn?
Children
Lessons follow the SwimSafer programme, like our group classes, with the SwimSafer test when your child is ready.
Adult beginners
Breathing and floating first, at your own pace. Then freestyle and breaststroke, one at a time.
Better strokes
Already swimming? Your coach works on your freestyle and breaststroke technique, one thing at a time.

Who will teach us?
We have more than 400 coaches across Singapore, and we match you with one who suits the swimmer’s age, level and pool.
Every coach holds a swimming teaching certificate, such as AUSTSWIM or SSI. Coaches at public pools are also registered with the National Registry of Coaches (NROC).

How much do private swimming lessons cost?
From $360 per month for one swimmer with a male coach, for a package of four 45-minute lessons. Young children have 30-minute lessons, at the same price. The final price depends on the swimmer’s level and the location.
Can the lessons be at my condo or at home?
Yes. Lessons can be at a public pool, your condo pool, or your home pool.
Can I choose my coach?
We match you with a coach who suits the swimmer’s age, level and pool, so you do not need to pick one yourself.
Can two or more people share a private lesson?
Yes, up to four swimmers with one coach. See the prices for 2, 3 and 4 swimmers above.
What happens if it rains?
At a sheltered pool, lessons go ahead as usual. At an outdoor pool with no shelter, message your coach if it is raining before your lesson. Your coach will tell you whether the lesson goes ahead or is moved. If there is lightning, the pool management decides when the pool closes.
Can I move a lesson?
Tell your coach at least one day before and the lesson is moved. With less notice, it counts as one of your 4.
How long do I have to use my 4 lessons?
Use your 4 lessons within 30 days of your first lesson.
Are the private swimming coaches qualified?
Yes. Every coach holds a swimming teaching certificate, such as AUSTSWIM or SSI. Coaches who teach at public pools are also registered with the National Registry of Coaches (NROC).
Do children’s private lessons follow SwimSafer?
Yes. Like our group classes, children’s private lessons follow the SwimSafer programme.
