Singapore Swimming Academy has received the SME 500 award for 2023 from the Association of Trade & Commerce (ATC).
Below is what the award is, what it means for families who swim with us, and how our lessons are run.
What Is the SME 500 Award?
The Association of Trade & Commerce gives the SME 500 award to small and medium-sized businesses that have shown strong results, adapted well and passed the award’s assessments. For us, it recognises the work our whole team puts in.

How We Teach
We want every child to swim safely, build good habits in the water and enjoy swimming for years. In our Flagship Classes, children under 14 follow the SwimSafer programme.

Safety first
Safety comes first in every lesson. SwimSafer has six stages and puts water safety at its centre, so children learn how to stay safe in the water as well as how to swim.
Lessons that match age and level
Lessons match each child’s age and ability. Young beginners learn basic water skills, and competitive swimmers work on more advanced technique.
Certified instructors
Our instructors are certified to teach the SwimSafer programme, including water safety and swimming technique.
Lessons children enjoy
Our lessons combine swimming skills with activities children enjoy.
Our Flagship Classes
Our Flagship Classes run at Bukit Canberra, Sengkang and Yishun Swimming Complex.
They follow the SwimSafer programme, and each child gets close attention from a certified instructor. We want every child to leave as a confident swimmer who still enjoys the water years later.
